A well-established Australian investment fund is seeking a Senior Investment Analyst to join its investment team.
The fund manages a diverse portfolio across asset classes, including listed equities, private equity, credit, and property.
With a focus on long-term investing and a history of consistent returns, the firm offers exposure to investments that perform across economic cycles.
In this role, you'll evaluate and manage corporate credit investments, conduct in-depth analysis and due diligence, and support the success of a structured yield strategy.
Upon successful hire, you will: Evaluate new corporate credit and structured investment opportunities through bottom-up research and detailed due diligence Build and maintain complex financial models to assess credit quality, cash flow coverage, capital structure, and downside scenarios Prepare clear and commercially grounded investment papers for presentation to the investment committee and senior stakeholders Monitor portfolio company performance and identify emerging risks or opportunities for value creation or preservation Contribute to thematic research and market analysis to inform portfolio positioning and pipeline development Collaborate with external partners and internal stakeholders to support efficient execution and portfolio oversight The ideal candidate will have:4–8 years of experience in credit analysis, investment banking, private credit, or principal investing Strong technical and financial modelling skills, with high proficiency in Excel (and ideally Bloomberg or Cap IQ)Demonstrated ability to assess credit risk, interpret financial statements, and form independent investment views Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to distil complex ideas into clear recommendations A proactive mindset, sound commercial judgement, and the ability to thrive in a lean, high-performance team environment Degree qualified in Finance, Economics, or a related field Would you like to hear more?
