Position: Senior Electrical Engineer

Salary: 160-180k +

Company: EPC

Location: Adelaide

Projects: EHV Substations & 132kv Transmission

Design & Build have partnered with an established EPC business delivering major projects across power, renewables, and infrastructure.

You'll take the technical lead on secondary systems for substation and transmission projects (132kV+), delivering protection and control designs from concept through to commissioning.

This is a hands-on role with a balance of technical design, client interaction, and project input, perfect if you enjoy both detail and big-picture work.

What you'll be doing:

• Leading the preparation of protection and secondary systems design packages
• Developing and reviewing schematics, logic diagrams, and functional specs
• Coordinating with primary, civil, and drafting teams to ensure design alignment
• Ensuring compliance with industry standards, QA, and client expectations
• Supporting project delivery from early design through testing and commissioning
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders, OEMs, and utilities as needed
  
  

What you'll bring:

• Proven experience in secondary systems design for HV & EHV Substations
• Expertise in protection relays, control systems, and SCADA
• Strong working knowledge of AS/NZS 61850 and relevant HV standards
• Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering
• CPEng (or working towards) and EA membership preferred
• Strong communication and documentation skills
