The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical and Control Systems Engineer to lead the development, integration, and optimisation of control and electrical systems for our industrial energy solutions. This is a hands-on technical role suited to someone who is passionate about clean technologies and engineering excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of electrical and control systems for sustainable energy technologies.
• Program, configure, and troubleshoot PLC and HMI/SCADA systems to ensure reliable and efficient plant operations.
• Develop and maintain electrical schematics, panel layouts, and system documentation.
• Work closely with mechanical and process engineers to deliver integrated, high-performance systems.
• Oversee testing, commissioning, and ongoing optimisation of electrical and automation systems.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance system reliability and energy efficiency.

Experience, Qualifications & skills:

• PLC programming skills, especially Allen Bradley experience desirable
• SCADA / HMI programming, including industrial communications protocols such as Modbus
• Computer skills, including coding experience (Python) and cloud database (InfluxDB) are desirable
• Experience or capability to work on process control systems, especially for pyrolysis, combustion, boilers, or thermal processing.
• More than 10 years relevant experience in electrical and control systems design and development, and operations in the following areas: high temperature processes, heat recovery, process instrumentation and control, pyrolysis/combustion systems, steam boilers, gas engine generators, material handling, and conveyors
• Experience with power generation and utility network connections will be viewed favorably
