About The Role

The Project Manager will collaborate closely with NNSWLHD Nursing and Midwifery Services to plan, communicate, implement, and evaluate key initiatives funded through the Nurse Strategy Reserve Funding (NSRF). Responsible for ensuring the delivery of initiatives that demonstrate innovation, safety, quality, staff engagement, and a strong focus on family-centred care.

The development and implementation of an interactive training program designed to transform de-escalation techniques in hospital settings for patients exhibiting reactive behaviours. The aims of the program include: - Reducing the use of restrictive practices and lessening the severity and frequency of dangerous incidents in hospital care environments by developing staff confidence, capacity and capabilities in identifying and managing reactive behaviours. - Enabling participants to identify the behaviour, choose an appropriate response, and apply positive reinforcement techniques.

The program will use training workshops designed to transform de-escalation techniques in hospital settings and offer nursing staff in NNSW LHD an interactive approach to promote compassion and understanding toward patients with reactive behaviours.
