Responsibilities
- Medication Management: Administer medications, ensure adherence to prescribed schedules, and monitor for side effects.
- Wound Care: Clean wounds, perform dressing changes, and monitor for signs of infection or complications.
- Health Assessments: Conduct regular health checks, monitor vital signs, and update care plans based on assessments. For example:
- FRAT assessment
- BRADEN assessment
- Diabetes assessment
- Continence Assessment
- RUDAS assessment
- Chronic Disease Management: Support clients with chronic conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, and respiratory illnesses.
- Personal Care Assistance: Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Desired Skills
- Proficiency in a second language, including but not limited to Mandarin, Cantonese, Arabic, Italian, Spanish, Greek, Hindi, and Vietnamese.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Professional Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- AHPRA Registration
- First Aid and CPR Certification
- ABN
- Independent contractor work rights
- Professional indemnity and public liability insurance of $10M each
- National Police Clearance
- COVID-19 vaccination certificate
