OverviewProduct Manager (Search/Catalogue) role with a leading fashion marketplace based in Sydney, NSW, AU. The team is focused on innovation and collaboration across the organization to deliver great products.
The Product team leads cross-functional squads of Engineers, UX Designers and Data Scientists to shape the strategy, roadmap and feature definitions for tech products across web and mobile platforms.
What's InvolvedAs a Product Manager, you will lead improvements in customer experience, marketing solutions, business processes, and technology fundamentals in our Search and Catalogue domain across the web and the mobile app channels. You will collaborate with senior leaders across the Customer Product team and other departments to align on where to invest time, effort and funding for tech solutions. You will shape initiatives with a clear Definition of Why (growth, cost saving, scaling, stability, etc.) and work closely with the development team to size opportunities, define solutions and a release plan.
What Success Looks Like- Leading initiatives (strategic and BAU) within your domain: search and catalogue
- Pioneering next-generation search experiences—advancing ranking, relevance, NLP, and semantic intelligence
- Leading discovery or scoping to understand customer problems and determine the value proposition
- Driving enhancements in search relevance, conversion rates, and customer satisfaction through experiments, A/B testing and data analysis
- Working with UX and research teams to create a user-friendly search experience that reflects what users are looking for
- Owning the strategic product vision and roadmap for the domain
- Collaborating with other Product Managers on discovery phases for initiatives
- Ensuring product lines align with a standard vision and process for quality delivery
- Communicating with stakeholders across the company
- Championing the product management practice
- Identifying new opportunities for growth and driving continuous experimentation
- 3-5 years of Product Management experience with user-facing products
- Proven experience leading search, discovery or data-rich product areas in high-traffic consumer environments
- Strong background with AI/ML teams on information retrieval, ranking models, NLP or query understanding
- 3-5 years in an agile environment
- Experience creating product roadmaps from conception to launch, driving direction and go-to-market strategy, and leading design discussions
- Experience with Search, Catalogue and Ranking logic
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated stakeholder and relationship management
- Experience with digital products, specifically online and mobile, in the e-commerce industry
