Overview

Run the full AP & AR function, oversee projects, 2IC to Finance Mgr, Aviation Consultants, Alexandria, 3 days p/w, Amazing team & leader $85K-$90k+

Based in modern Alexandria offices, this business is an emerging leader in the global aviation consulting sector. Led by an ambitious and entrepreneurial team, they have harnessed a hardworking and energetic team of go-getters, they're poised for growth and are accelerating towards business excellence. With a capable Finance Manager at the helm, they now require a highly skilled Accounts & Finance Officer to manage all AP and AR for their global accounts across multiple projects.

This role is offered on a 3 day per week basis (days flexible).

Responsibilities
  • Own all AP & AR – Partner with the Head of Finance
  • Utilise Xero to reconcile a high volume of invoices from Australian and international suppliers and third party contractors
  • Match invoices to projects and ensure correct coding
  • Liaise with external parties to investigate charges and resolve discrepancies
  • Set up payment files for processing (2 runs per week) and ensure accuracy for end-of-week payments
  • Manage the full AR process with third parties, ensuring margins are charged correctly and debt management is adhered to
  • Enter data and run reports
  • Manage and reconcile subcontractor bills for each project, ensuring deadlines are met
  • Follow up with suppliers on missed invoices or discrepancies
  • General accounts admin, including filing and attaching documentation in Xero
What will help you succeed

Key attributes: strong accounting and finance skills, excellent attention to detail, customer-service mindset, and a proactive problem-solver who can work in a fast-paced environment.

You should be fast with data entry and proficient in Xero. Knowledge of Asana for project management is helpful, and training can be provided.

You'll need exceptional communication skills as you will interact with senior officials and external stakeholders weekly.
