Disability Support Worker – Complex Mental Health Supports

Crosslinks are seeking experienced and committed SupportWorkers to provide specialised support to a participant living with complexmental health support needs.
This is a role for individuals who can combine professionalboundaries with genuine empathy, and who understand the importance of trauma-informedsupport in promoting safety, stability, and growth.
About the Role
As a Support Worker in Accommodation Services, you will playa crucial role in supporting a participant with high and complex mentalhealth support needs. This position requires resilience, professionalism,and the ability to respond calmly and effectively in challenging situations.
You will:
- Provideconsistent, person-centred support that promotes dignity and autonomy
- Applytrauma-informed principles, safety, trust, choice, collaboration,and empowerment in all interactions.
- Implementde-escalation strategies and manage behaviours of concern withprofessionalism and composure.
- Supportparticipants to engage in daily routines, community access, and meaningfulactivities that foster wellbeing and self-esteem.
- Collaborateclosely with clinical staff, coordinators, and families to ensure supportstrategies are followed.
- Maintainaccurate documentation and uphold compliance with NDIS andorganisational requirements.
About You
We are seeking individuals with the following qualities andexperience:
- Demonstratedexperience with mental health support needs, and disability support
- Strongskills in de-escalation, crisis response, and risk management.
- Compassionate,empathetic, and non-judgmental, with the ability to build trust andrapport.
- Resilient,patient, and able to maintain professional boundaries.
- Knowledgeof trauma-informed practice, and person-centred care.
- Willingnessto engage in reflective practice and ongoing professional development.

Requirements
- CurrentDriver's Licence and reliable vehicle.
- PoliceClearance, NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check, andFirst Aid Certificate (support can be provided to obtain these).
- Previousmental health, disability support experience and Certificates in the relating field ishighly regarded.
