In this position as a Youth Development Worker, you will be responsible for supporting and assisting young residents in the Foyer and Short Stay (SS) programs at Karrung, helping them work toward their long-term goal of independent living. You will play a key role in building trust and guiding residents through structured support tailored to their individual needs.
In collaboration with each young person, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining a personalised Action Plan that outlines their goals and the steps to achieve them. While this role has no direct budget responsibilities, your impact will be significant in shaping positive outcomes for the young people you support.

- Essential: (Minimum) Diploma of Community Welfare Work or related discipline
- Desirable: Bachelor of Social Work, Psychology, Behavioural Science or related discipline
- Cert IV in AOD and Mental Health (or willingness to qualify within a specified timeframe at own expense).
- Experience in a case management role
- Liaison with relevant services to facilitate family reunification for eligible clients in the Short Stay program
- Development of exit plans in collaboration with clients
- Assist with the running of the activities program
