Overview

Cottee Parker Architects is a well-established and forward-thinking architectural practice that values creativity, innovation, and collaboration. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality design solutions across sectors including hospitality, commercial, multi-residential, luxury residential, and retail projects. We are looking for a motivated and talented Design Architect or Graduate of Architecture to join our dynamic team. The successful applicant will ideally bring 5+ years of industry experience and strong Revit skills, and may be an experienced graduate on the pathway to registration or a recently registered architect. As part of our team, you will work closely with our Head of Design, developing your skills and contributing to a wide range of exciting projects.

Responsibilities
  • Develop strong design concepts and communicate them clearly through sketches, drawings, and 3D visualisations.
  • Contribute to feasibility studies, site analysis, and concept design proposals.
  • Prepare and present design material for client meetings, competitions, and stakeholder reviews.
  • Collaborate with Directors and Project Leaders to refine and evolve designs that balance creativity, functionality, and compliance.
  • Translate design ideas into clear documentation in Revit for early-stage approvals and presentations.
  • Engage with consultants and team members to ensure design intent is carried through into documentation.
  • Stay informed on design trends, materials, and technologies to bring innovation to projects.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Architecture or equivalent degree from a recognised institution.
  • Eligible for (or recently achieved) registration as an Architect in Australia.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in an architectural practice.
  • Strong proficiency in Revit (ArchiCAD experience also valued but not essential).
  • Proven experience across one or more sectors such as commercial, residential, hospitality, or retail.
  • Excellent design, documentation, and contract administration skills.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
