Our client works on hydraulic parts for underground coal mining machines specifically longwall mining machines. They are currently seeking Trade Assistant to join their workforce, focusing on projects in Unanderra, NSW. Trade assistant positions available for an IMMEDIATE START, offering ongoing long term positions with a view to full time employment and all located within Unanderra
Responsibilities- Help skilled tradespeople with their work.
- Do general yard maintenance (keep the site clean and organised).
- Operate hand held power tools and use a forklift and, moving materials and equipment, manual handling, all round general labouring duties and assisting tradespeople and working with a team.
- Full training provided. Must be willing to consistently work safely and be willing to learn.
- White Card
- Full Drivers License and own transport (yard not accessible to public transport)
- Forklift License or willingness to obtain necessary tickets.
- Experience with hand held tools and physical work preferred but not essential.
- Willingness to work in dirty, smelly and dusty environment.
- Job Security - long-term work in a WEATHERPROOF, PANDEMIC PROOF, & RECESSION PROOF industry
- Long-term work with the potential for a permanent position in 3-6 months
