Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a Sales Development representative to join our Building & Infrastructure sales team on a full-time basis. Collaborating closely with the broader team, your primary task will be to grow IPD's business with the major Switchboard Manufacturers in WA, developing relationships and showcasing IPD's broad capabilities to this sector.

This role will report directly to the State Sales Manager and will be based at our office in Welshpool.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Developing and executing sales plans aligned with state strategy.
  2. Familiarising with market dynamics and B&I Business Channels - Consultants, Switchboard Manufacturers, Major Electrical Contractors and System Integrators, leveraging sales opportunities and understanding competitor activities.
  3. Maintaining high-level sales and technical knowledge of IPD products and solutions.
  4. Generating sales call reports and manage quotations in CRM systems.
  5. Providing market feedback to Sales Manager, General Manager, and Product Marketing Group.
  6. Ensuring effective representation of IPD in designated customer channels/sectors.
Desired Skills and Experience
  1. Qualifications in electrical trade or engineering.
  2. Previous experience in sales & business development highly desirable, preferably in low voltage products.
  3. A strong understanding of the contract and tendering processes.
  4. High level of written and verbal communication skills.
  5. Ability to demonstrate a high level of competency in the management of KPI's, margins and sales figures.
  6. Willingness to travel as required.
  7. Knowledge in MS Office and CRM software.
  8. Proven communication and negotiation skills.
  9. Excellent time management and planning skills.
