Overview

Job Title: Solution Architect

Contract: Maximum 6 months (supporting a multi-year program)

Location: Melbourne

Clearance: Australian Citizenship and Baseline Security Clearance required

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to support the design and delivery of a major healthcare solution. This role will work within a collaborative design team, ensuring alignment with predetermined architectures and contributing to the integration of diverse healthcare systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Solution Lead, Systems Engineers, and Integration Developers to deliver the system.
  • Analyse functional and non-functional requirements across healthcare domains including Patient Care, Allied Health, Dental Care, Dispensing, Telemedicine, and other specialist disciplines.
  • Participate in requirement elaboration workshops with healthcare vendors and Federal Government representatives.
  • Produce solution design artefacts such as sequence diagrams, activity diagrams, and API schema to support healthcare systems integration.
  • Support System Engineers in implementing design artefacts and engaging in change review boards.
  • Provide architectural guidance to System Engineers and Integration Developers, including support for verification and validation activities.

What You'll Bring

  • Extensive experience in software development and solution architecture, with a strong background in designing complex, integrated solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of health data protocols (HL7v2, FHIR) and data formats (JSON, XML).
  • Proven experience in systems integration and API development.
  • Skilled in producing high-quality technical documentation.
  • Degree in Engineering/ICT (or equivalent); TOGAF 9 and ITIL v3 certifications desirable.
  • Australian Citizenship with Baseline Security Clearance (essential).
