As part of our vision, AMPYR Energy was created to develop and manage renewable energy assets worldwide. In Australia, AMPYR Distributed Energy (ADE) leads the deployment of commercial and industrial (C&I) solar and battery energy storage systems (BESS) at scale.

The Opportunity

We're looking for a highly experienced Delivery Director to lead the execution of our fast-growing distributed energy portfolio, including the delivery of rooftop solar, ground-mount solar, and BESS projects.

You'll oversee performance across project design, construction, and operations, working closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure our energy assets are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest commercial and technical standards.

What You'll Do

Lead and grow a high-performing team of internal engineers and external contractors.

Oversee project delivery from concept through to operation, ensuring timelines, budgets, and HSSE standards are met.

Drive continuous improvement using automation, AI, and software to optimize performance.

Develop and manage budgets for project development, construction, and ongoing asset operations.

Build and maintain robust asset management systems and proactive/reactive maintenance regimes.

Provide detailed and accurate reporting to internal and external stakeholders.

Support technical due diligence for new project origination and investment cases.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree (or higher) in engineering, project management, or a related discipline.

10+ years experience delivering BESS and solar projects, including high-voltage (HV) works.

Deep understanding of Australian energy market regulations, contract management, and HSSE laws.

Proven track record managing complex, multi-site infrastructure projects.

Strong industry network across contractors, consultants, and suppliers.

Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and leadership skills.
