About The Role

We are looking for a Senior Advisor Safety in the Iron Ore HSEC Technical team. This role is designed for a seasoned Superintendent, to use your combined operational and technical knowledge and interpersonal skills to effectively partner with various stakeholders to lead Iron Ore wide safety improvement projects and provide guidance to senior and safety leaders on best practice.

You'll be part of a supportive team, supported by your Manager to grow and achieve your own personal goals as well as the goals of the team.

Reporting to the Principal Advisor Manager Safety, you will

• Analyse and develop insights into safety improvement and governance
• Support governance of core safety deliverables, strategic initiatives and priorities
• Safety data reporting aligned to our strategic priorities and in support of business level communications
• Education and promotion of safety initiatives and changes
• Support Safety Standard Working Groups and the Safety Steering Committee to increase control effectiveness and reduce risk
• Provision of SME advice to the business with respect to WHS
• Shape and support the delivery of risk reduction and improvement initiatives linked to the annual and 5-year HSEC Plan
• Support the development and maintenance of safety management systems including documentation to ensure compliance with RT Safety Standards and statutory requirements
• Collaborate closely with the Safety AoE, industry partners and stakeholders regarding best practice safety programs and management of risk
• Work closely with our functional partners such Procurement, Capability Development and Human Resources to support integration of safety into business processes

Where you'll be working

This role is offered on a full-time permanent basis and will be based in Perth, nestled in the cities CBD.
