About Us

The Montessori Preschool in Wagga follows a Montessori philosophy and curriculum to educate children. We are a privately run business, committed to creating an environment that is all about the child and their development. Our point of difference is that we provide a quality preschool program that is outcomes based, individually specific to children's needs and interest and where the child is supported to be independent, self-directed and engaged. Our holistic approach is delivered in an environment specifically designed to meet the child's different stages of development, by recognising children's natural love of learning at their own pace. Our Centre is purpose built including an exceptionally large outside free play environment.

About the Role

We are seeking Preschool Teachers (ECT) and educators (Diploma) who have relevant qualifications to help lead our dynamic team to provide a high-quality educational program. You must be dedicated, have a great work ethic, be passionate, have a great attitude and exceptional time management skills We offer a great long-term opportunity for pre-graduate, post-graduate or experienced Early Childhood Teachers to expand their careers with us, and financial assistance with study time to upgrade qualifications from a Cert to a Diploma, or a Diploma to an ECT. These positions are permanent full/part time and applicants must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, experience with documentation, an ability to form meaningful relationships. The duties include:

  • Ensuring daily outcomes are achieved
  • Working with the team to deliver child focussed programming and related documentation
  • Engaging in meetings and centre-based decision making
  • Working with families to ensure child specific goals are met
  • Communicating with families and engaging in discussions on school readiness
  • Working with the team to maintain a high quality prepared environment
  • Attending formal and informal Montessori training

Skills & Requirements

  • Working toward or have completed a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood or Diploma or equivalent (Recognised by ACECQA)
  • Prior teaching experience in a childcare environment is essential
  • Cert, Diploma or ECT
  • Sound knowledge of the New Quality Framework, EYLF and NQS
  • Current First-Aid Certificate, Asthma and Anaphylaxis training
  • Excellent documentation, communication, planning and time management skills.
