Consultant Psychiatrist in CAMHS - Gosford, AU

Global Medics is partnering with the Central Coast Local Health District to recruit a Staff Specialist/Consultant Psychiatrist in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) on the Central Coast, New South Wales, Australia.

Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership to the team and ensure the smooth, efficient and effective operation of the service.
  • Provide clinical governance to the team including expert psychiatric care and advice to young people and their families of CAMHS.
  • Provide professional leadership in the area of Mental Health within a multidisciplinary environment and clinical leadership in clinical meetings such as MDT care reviews.
  • Psychiatric assessment, treatment and management of young people and their families.
Essential Selection Criteria
  • Coming from the UK - Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) and a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT), awarded under any RCPsych curriculum from August 2007 to date following satisfactory completion of a General Medical Council or Postgraduate Medical Education and Training Board approved specialty training program in psychiatry in the United Kingdom.
  • Other Countries - Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia and Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists or equivalent
  • Demonstrated clinical skills and experience working with mental health problems in Adult Mental Health
  • Demonstrated experience and ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
