CoDE offers high-quality, design-led accommodation in both private double rooms and multi-share pod-style rooms. Our Royal Mile property, opened in 2019, features over 200 beds, stylish communal kitchens, and vibrant social spaces – all within a historic building. Our original Rose Street location, open for 7+ years, remains one of Edinburgh's top-rated hostels.

We pride ourselves on exceptional cleanliness, warm hospitality, and memorable guest experiences. Now, we're looking for detail-oriented and motivated Public Area Cleaner to join our growing team.

About the Role
As a Public Area Cleaner, you'll play a key role in maintaining our exceptional cleanliness standards across shared bathrooms, corridors, stairwells and communal spaces. You'll ensure every guest arrival is met with an immaculate and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure all public areas, including lobbies, kitchens, corridors, and lounges, are kept clean, tidy, and guest-ready at all times.
• Carry out daily cleaning routines and scheduled deep-cleaning tasks.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness standards throughout each shift.
• Complete reporting duties including lost property and maintenance logs.
• Adhere to all Health & Safety policies and security procedures.
• Promptly report any maintenance issues or hazards.
• Support guest satisfaction by ensuring all shared spaces feel inviting and well-maintained.

About You

• Professional, self-motivated, and enthusiastic.
• Flexible and able to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering a spotless guest experience.
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

Work Details

• Hours: 20-30 hours per week
• Shift Times: 7am-3pm or 6pm-10pm
• Weekend Work: Required as part of the regular schedule.
