We support our organisations whose services improve the lives of thousands of people each year. We are looking for an IT Support Technician to join our can-do, upbeat IT Support Team. This is an onsite role at our head office location in Claydon, Suffolk IP6 0FU.
PositionThe duties of the IT Support Technician include being a reference point for all IT related queries from internal users, ensuring all information is captured into a defined task with desired outcomes. This role includes managing the support inbox and delivering exceptional service when handling requests via email, telephone or face to face. The IT Technician will perform the majority of break/fix IT issues with support from the IT Manager or Managed Service Provider. Additional duties include supporting other IT Team members in resolving issues remotely or onsite.
Main DutiesAs an IT Support Technician for IPRS Group, you will be responsible for IT support across the IPRS Group including:
- Provide IT Support to end users across all businesses
- Complete allocated tasks to a high standard
- Answer inbound calls, record IT issue requests within a task, with desired outcome and time taken
- Handle new hardware requests, including ordering, setup and distribution
- Complete assigned project work to a high standard as prescribed by the IT Manager
- Monitor Desktops, Servers and Networks
To be seriously considered for the role of IT Support Technician, please have the following:
Qualifications: Essential (E) and Desirable (D) indicators are shown where applicable.
- GNVQ/NVQ Level 2 qualification or equivalent
- 6 GCSE/O level passes Grade 9-4 (A*-C) or equivalent, including English and Math
- Recognized ICT qualifications (Desirable):
- CompTIA A+
- CompTIA Security+
- MCSE: Server Infrastructure
- MCSE: Desktop Infrastructure
- MCSA: Windows 7/8/10/11
- Full UK Driving License
- Ability to pass DBS Checks
- Experience: A minimum of 1-2 years IT experience; experience using various Microsoft programs; experience with IT technologies including Windows 10/11, Desktops, Laptops, Mobile devices, Servers (Windows Server, Linux, Azure Cloud, 365, Exchange, Entra, Intune portals); knowledge of 3CX Admin Console (Desirable); Apple Business Manager Portal for iPhone setup (Desirable); Active Directory, Group Policies and File Servers
- Security/Networks: Anti-Virus, Backups, Firewalls, Routers, VPN, Telephony (3CX) (Desirable)
- Knowledge: Using and Supporting Microsoft Office; Supporting computer networks; Installing PCs/Upgrading software; Data download and transfer; Network and system monitoring; Routine system administration
- Skills: Hardware troubleshooting, software troubleshooting, networking, system administration, security awareness, remote support tools, help desk software and ticketing systems
- Salary: £25,396.00 - £28,000.00 per annum
- Location: Onsite Claydon, Suffolk, IP6 0FU
- Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday
