Project Managers (PMs) in AGO's Geospatial-Intelligence (GEOINT) Capability Delivery Branch (GCD) are the frontline managers of AGO's portfolio of Defence Major projects. You will manage the day-to-day activity of a skilled team delivering and sustaining cutting-edge capability to AGO, Defence, and the National Intelligence Community. Our projects solve complex problems and contribute directly to the security and defence of Australia. Your work builds AGO's capacity to produce geospatial intelligence, acquire imagery, and incorporate automation and AI/ML as force multipliers for the GEOINT workforce.

Responsibilities
  • Develop high-quality project documentation, reports, briefs, and presentations
  • Identify and treat risk
  • Coordinate and allocate resources to deliver against project and product plans
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including international partners
  • Report on project status, focusing on schedule, scope, progress, and financials
  • Recruit and onboard project staff

This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known as the Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP), which provides a premium in addition to the base salary under the Defence Enterprise Collective Agreement (DECA). For more details, please contact the contact officer.

The Australian Geospatial-Intelligence Organisation (AGO) delivers cutting-edge capability supporting the Australian Defence Force, the National Intelligence Community, and other government areas through its GEOINT Capability Delivery Branch (GCD).

The branch includes project managers, support officers, systems engineers, ICT security specialists, enterprise and systems architects, business analysts, finance specialists, and contracting officers who work together with customers to design, build, and sustain GEOINT capability.
