About the opportunity

Australia Post is changing, and to help our business achieve its Strategic Priorities (Post26 Strategy), our Group Procurement team is growing to support the change. The Group Procurement team is at the centre of many of these exciting and changing activities.

What you'll deliver with us

Reporting to the 'Strategic Procurement Manager', your role is to support the development and execution of end-to-end procurement strategies to primarily support Australia Post's Print, Packaging & Business Services functions.

You'll also

  • Partner with the function or Business Unit of Australia Post, managing key stakeholder relationships and identifying cross-functional opportunities.
  • Work independently on end-to-end procurement engagement, including strategic sourcing projects, stakeholder management, category planning, portfolio management, and contract finalisation.
  • Possess strong organisation and planning skills, collaborating with stakeholders and support functions (such as Legal and Finance) to deliver value.
  • Represent the procurement process to maximise value across brand, customer service, service delivery, quality, innovation, and sustainability.
  • Support the Senior Sourcing Manager/Category Lead in establishing procurement standards for effective supplier management.

About you

  • Minimum 7 years' strategic procurement experience, preferably in large government or corporate environments.
  • Experienced in sourcing practices and processes with sound commercial knowledge, including contract law and probity practices.
  • Proven experience in supplier relationship management within a large organisation.
  • Experience managing multiple senior stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships as a trusted advisor.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Experience with Ariba Source to Contract is highly desirable.
