Overview

ICT Support Technician (Customer Support) at Prolim Technologies, based in Moorabbin, Melbourne (VIC). This permanent, full-time role supports the deployment and maintenance of clients' computer infrastructure, diagnosing and resolving technical problems, and helping clients in their engineering and product development activities. Prolim Technologies is an authorised Siemens Expert Partner providing consulting, implementation, training, customization, and support for Siemens PLM and related tools.

Responsibilities
  • Respond to inquiries and provide technical assistance and troubleshooting for PLM, CAM, and CAD software and hardware problems.
  • Provide support to clients for Siemens PLM solutions, ensuring timely resolution of user issues and minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Determine software and hardware requirements to provide effective solutions to client issues.
  • Diagnose, identify, and resolve system problems and user-reported issues related to software functionality, data access, and workflows to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Install, download, and configure PLM system infrastructure, including applications like Teamcenter and its integrations, ensuring efficient use of applications and equipment.
  • Develop and conduct user training sessions and create clear technical documentation, such as procedural and operational guides, to support end-users.
  • Liaise with users and senior engineers to resolve complex technical issues, ensuring adherence to best practices and quality standards.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Mechanical Engineering or Information Technology.
  • Demonstrated experience in PLM software support.
Skills and Experience
  • Proven expertise in PLM implementation and support, specifically with Siemens Teamcenter (including Rich Client, Active Workspace, BMIDE).
  • Strong proficiency in CAD software, particularly the Solid Edge Portfolio including NX Portfolio for Design (Modeling, Mold Wizard), and Rhino.
  • In-depth knowledge of PLM modules including Requirement Management, Change Management, BOM Management, and MCAD Integration; programming and technical skills including TCL, VB.NET, HTML.
Salary and Benefits

Annual salary: 80,000 – 90,000 (plus bonus and superannuation).
