Forklift Operator position available in Tully, Far North Queensland, for a family farming business that has been in operation for over 75 years - Mackays Group (THE TRUSTEE FOR GOLDEN BANANA SERVICES TRUST).

There are 15 positions available.
Hours of Work are Monday to Thursday 6:30am to 4:40pm.

This position is classified as Level 4 under the Horticulture Award 2020. All positions have on job training and
potential for upskilling. The positions available are on Banana and Passionfruit farms and the duties will include but are not limited to the following:

• Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts

• Responsible for all receivals and dispatch from the farm

• Carefully transport products to ensure the load is not damaged

• Prepare palletised product for cold storage and transport, including shrink wrap of pallets

• Liaise with Farm Manager and Shed Manager to co-ordinate load requirements

• Liaise with Shed Manager to ensure that correct information is being printed on the cartons as well as ensuring that a PPS carton is stacked on each pallet

• Ensure that the pallet is correctly stacked with the correct grades

• Ensure accurate records are kept of daily work schedule (e.g. load documentation)

• Prepare all dispatch paperwork for each load and ensure that the correct consignment is being loaded

• Monitor cold rooms for quality control

• Stocktake and management of all packing materials

• As well as any ad hoc duties within the competency of the employee

Start Date: Looking for employees to start from July 2025 for a minimum of 9 months
