Careers & Candidates is a boutique recruitment firm engaged by our client to source candidates for the role of Contracts Manager. This is an interim role with potential for permanency.
Role DescriptionOur client is a large FMCG company headquartered in Melbourne. The role offers a flexible work arrangement: 3 days in the office and 2 days remote, with free onsite parking.
This is a commercial role. Beyond typical contract management duties, the successful candidate will assess contract terms to understand their commercial impact and influence business decisions to optimize outcomes, balancing risk and benefit.
The Contract Manager will be responsible for
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts
- Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards
- Monitoring contract performance
- Maintaining accurate records and managing renewals and amendments
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to resolve contract issues
Additionally, we seek a candidate who enjoys mentoring junior team members.
Qualifications- Experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts
- Knowledge of legal and regulatory compliance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple contracts and priorities
- Proficiency in contract management software
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or related field
- Experience in finance or accounting is a plus
