With the surge in demand for travel to Norway, Nordics & Arctic Svalbard, and high interest in our Cruise and Cruise & Tour experiences, we're seeking two exceptional strategic and relationship-driven Key Account Managers to join us on our journey. This is an opportunity to represent a purpose-driven travel company, build strong industry partnerships, drive growth through the travel trade and help shape the future of Norwegian coastal travel in the region.
About the RoleAs Key Account Manager, you'll be responsible for driving sales performance in your designated territory, with coverage nationally where required. You'll build long-lasting relationships, lead joint business and marketing plans, deliver training and attend events, helping to shape how our brand is positioned and experienced across the region. You'll maintain, build and maximise sales potential by cultivating strong customer-focused partnerships, representing Hurtigruten's values of Norwegianess.
You'll identify, own and execute new opportunities across existing and emerging distribution networks and be recognised for your success. Represent the Hurtigruten brand to the travel industry and the public, playing a vital role in our next stage of growth. Brisbane and Sydney based opportunities are available.
What You'll Do- Build and grow strategic partnerships with key travel trade accounts across designated territories
- Develop annual sales and marketing plans tailored to each key account's goals
- Lead face-to-face and virtual training, webinars, and workshops with partner front-line teams
- Manage sales agreements, reporting, commissions, and co-op marketing plans
- Identify and close group business opportunities
- Represent Hurtigruten at industry events, trade shows, and partner activations
- Host familiarization trips for agents, media, and trade partners
- Ensure high ROI from marketing campaigns, events, and promotional spend
- Stay informed about competitor activity and market trends
- Provide timely reporting, forecasts, and market insights to support planning
- Collaborate closely with regional and global teams to ensure alignment
- Proven sales or account management experience in the travel or tourism industry
- Strong network across the Australian travel trade landscape (e.g., retail, OTA, consortia, wholesalers)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- A customer-focused, relationship-first mindset
- Strong planning and organizational abilities, with a self-driven work style
- Willingness to travel across the region and work occasional evenings/weekends
- Advantageous: experience with cruise or Arctic/Nordic travel products
