Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure all bookkeeping functions are done timely, effectively, and efficiently, including bank and general ledger reconciliations, billing of clients, collection of accounts receivables, review of supplier invoices, and payment of accounts payables.
  • Build strong relationships with the management team to understand their strategic goals and provide financial insights and guidance to support decision-making.
  • Ensure the company's accounting policies and procedures comply with applicable standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with business teams to develop key performance indicators, track progress, and provide regular updates to leadership.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports and presentations to provide insights into business performance and support decision-making.
  • Review, prepare, and process the fortnightly payroll and staff reimbursements.
  • Manage and reconcile clients' funds held in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and lodge monthly BAS, IAS, payroll tax, workcover, and other statutory requirements.
  • Perform other tasks or projects as necessary or required by the role.
Essential Experience and Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting/Finance.
  • Experience with Xero Accounting Software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong knowledge of technical accounting with the ability to apply practically in a growing environment.
  • Practical application of accounting knowledge to bring control and process improvements to the finance function.
  • Excellent organisational, analytical, and conceptual skills, with experience in implementing change across the organisation.
Desirable
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Financial accounting background, preferably in NDIS community healthcare.
