Overview

Lecturer / Senior Lecturer (Primary Teacher Education) – Perth, Western Australia.

Salary: AUD 118,000 – 166,000 per annum. This is a full-time, tenurable appointment available at Level B or Level C, depending on the successful applicant's qualifications, experience and achievements.

Salary details
  • Base salary: Level B, $118,150 – $139,812 per annum
  • Base salary: Level C, $144,143 – $165,809 per annum (pro-rata) plus 17% superannuation
Responsibilities
  • Deliver innovative teaching in Mathematics, Science, or English for primary education; coordinate units and courses; contribute to curriculum design and assessment practices; supervise Honours, Masters, and PhD students.
  • Build a research profile through publications, conference participation, and grant applications; engage in higher degree supervision and contribute to the School's research excellence.
  • Participate in School governance, strategic planning, and external partnerships; uphold standards of practice and contribute to inclusion and diversity initiatives; represent the University in professional and community settings.

About The Opportunity

About You
  • Completed doctorate in Education or a closely related field
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver innovative high-quality teaching approaches, assessment and materials for units and courses
  • Demonstrated ability to teach online or in flexible modes
  • Demonstrated record and expertise in teaching Mathematics, Science, or English in a primary teacher education course
  • Track record of excellence in research evidenced by peer-reviewed journal articles
  • Evidence of successful supervision or co-supervision of HDR students
  • Experience participating in professional and scholarly activities that promote research and/or education outcomes with government and industry
