NES Fircroft has partnered with a global energy business to recruit a HSE Specialist for a 12-month contract in Brisbane, QLD. Our client is a leading energy-tech company delivering equipment to energy businesses in over 120 countries. The role is based in Brisbane CBD, working Monday to Friday.

As an HSE Specialist, you will contribute to a mature safety culture and promote modern risk management and Safety2.0 practices. You will guide, mentor, and influence personnel at all levels, ensuring HSE remains a core business priority.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with frontline employees and leadership to embed HSE excellence and shared accountability across all operations.
  • Coach supervisors and managers in developing a robust safety culture and clear ownership of HSE outcomes.
  • Collaborate with local and regional HSE teams and subject-matter experts on risk controls specific to an oil-and-gas supply-base environment.
  • Support emergency-response preparedness, including creation, maintenance, and delivery of procedures and training.
  • Design and facilitate HSE awareness and workforce-engagement programs.
  • Champion health initiatives, with particular emphasis on mental health promotion across the site.
Qualifications & Experience
  • NEBOSH Diploma, Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety, or equivalent; a relevant bachelor's degree is highly regarded.
  • Proven ability to communicate clearly and influence stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
  • Previous HSE experience within oil & gas, manufacturing, mining, or heavy-industrial settings.

This position requires the full right to work in Australia.
