As the HSE manager for Queensland, you will play a pivotal role in steering the development and implementation of risk-based health, safety, and environmental policies, practices, and services across the dynamic landscapes of Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Your expertise will be instrumental in fostering a culture of safety, compliance, and environmental responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain effective HSEQ management systems.
  • Provide leadership for compliance with regulations, conducting audits and risk assessments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate HSE considerations.
  • Investigate incidents, implement corrective actions, and identify trends for management reports.
  • Oversee rehabilitation legislation, manage compensable cases, and ensure confidentiality.
  • Collate and analyse statistics on injuries, occurrences, and countermeasures.
  • Prepare management briefings, conduct timely audits, and devise safety training programs.
  • Ensure defined Health & Safety training requirements are met through regular site visits.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an HSE Manager or in a similar role.
  • Strong experience with Industrial Relations & Unions
  • Experience working on Projects within Residential, Defence, Health, Commercial or Complex Services upwards of $100m
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and deliver effective training programs.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
