Overview

At Penrhos, we believe learning is a bold adventure. We are seeking an inspiring Associate Director of Inclusive Education to join our Academic Leadership Team and play a key role in shaping inclusive practices, student achievement and staff development across the College.

This maximum-term appointment commences in 2026 and is offered as a full-time (1.0 FTE) role, with a 0.2 FTE teaching load.

Your Role in the Adventure:

  • EMBRACE – Build strong relationships with students, families and staff to support personalised learning pathways.
  • CREATE – Lead innovative approaches to curriculum differentiation, enrichment and extension programs.
  • SOAR – Foster collaboration and professional growth to enhance inclusive and high-impact teaching practices.
  • BLAZE – Champion diversity, equity and access, ensuring compliance and best practice in learning support.
  • IMPACT – Empower students to reach their potential through tailored support, challenge and enrichment opportunities.
What You Bring
  • A Bachelor of Education or a Graduate Diploma in Education and/or another relevant degree.
  • Current TRBWA registration and WWC
  • Demonstrated leadership in learning enhancement, enrichment, or inclusive education
  • Strong knowledge of evidence-based practice in differentiation and intervention strategies
  • Proven ability to use data to identify needs, inform planning and measure outcomes
  • Commitment to Penrhos College values and to creating a safe, inclusive learning environment
Essential criteria
  • Proven leadership in Inclusive Education (LE, G&T, EAL/D) across K–12.
  • Strong knowledge of disability, neurodiversity, giftedness, and cultural/linguistic diversity.
  • Demonstrated experience in compliance and legal requirements (NCCD, adjustments, SCSA).
  • Ability and willingness to uphold and role model the College Values of Respect, Empathy, Integrity, Knowledge, Growth and Synergy
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and build capacity in teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with parents, staff, and students.
  • Commitment to innovative practice and evidence-informed approaches.
