
Administration Officer

We are seeking a highly motivated, reliable Admissions Officer to join our friendly, hardworking team. This Part-time role is Monday – Wednesday; shifts rotate start times 6am, 8am or 10am (8 hours including a break).
Our Bookings and Admissions team offers development opportunities and a caring environment for delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. You will deal with multiple stakeholders (internal and external) from a range of disciplines and will have direct patient contact.
The role involves checking in and admitting patients for Private Elective Surgeries and Public Waitlist bookings. You will undertake effective and efficient patient administration activities in line with hospital policies. Customer service should be of a high standard, reflected in positive patient and stakeholder experiences.
Responsibilities- Check in and admit patients for Private Elective Surgeries and Public Waitlist bookings in line with hospital policies.
- Provide accurate and timely data entry to support admissions and bookings.
- Handle multiple stakeholders and direct patient contact with professionalism and courtesy.
- Maintain high standards of customer service and patient experience.
- Collaborate with Front Office, reception and medical teams to ensure smooth patient flow.
- Exceptional customer service, with timely, efficient, friendly, and courteous communication.
- Accurate and timely data entry and administrative skills.
- Well-developed oral and written communication.
- Time management, multi-tasking, and the ability to prioritise tasks.
- Sound understanding of medical terminology and health fund contracts.
- High standard of computer literacy.
- Ability to work as a valued team member, promoting a professional and positive team culture and liaising with other departments.
