We are seeking a highly motivated, ambitious, and commercially minded Project Operations Manager to oversee and coordinate the day-to-day operations of our business. This role is key to ensuring our projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

The Opportunity:
Reporting to theGeneral Manager, you would be accountable for the successful planning, execution, and performance of all project portfolios. Specifically, the end-to-end delivery and performance of the projects.

Your role will ensure projects are delivered to scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards, while fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence. You'll also play a pivotal role in driving commercial performance and strengthening client partnerships to the highest standards of quality and safety.

What you will be responsible for:

Leading Project Delivery: Overseeing the successful execution of diverse projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and client expectations are consistently met.

Driving Performance Outcomes: Monitoring delivery performance and financials, ensuring high-quality outcomes and strong project margins.

Managing Risk: Proactively identify risks and recovery pathways to protect project integrity and client relationships.

Team & Resource Leadership: Coach, Lead, and Manage operational teams to meet project and business objectives.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Fostering strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure delivery success and satisfaction.

Supporting Sales & Commercial Decisions: Partner with Sales and Commercial teams on tender responses, scoping, and delivery feasibility.

Implementing Continuous Improvement: Driving initiatives that lift delivery capability, quality, and client value.

Championing Governance & Quality: Ensuring alignment with Karlka Fencewright's ISO frameworks for quality standards and safety practices.

What we're looking for:

Proven Project Leadership: Demonstrated success managing a complex program of external, multi-site projects — ideally within government, construction, or manufacturing environments.

Strong Commercial Understanding: Experience managing project budgets, forecasting, and driving cost-effective outcomes.

Experienced People Leader: Track record of building and enabling high-performing project delivery teams.

Client-Centric Communicator: Able to confidently engage with stakeholders, clients, and partners to manage delivery expectations and solutions.

Technically Savvy: Knowledge of telecommunications, healthcare technology, or construction-based installations preferred.

Process & Quality Champion: Familiarity with project governance frameworks, ISO or similar standards, and continuous improvement methodologies.

Qualifications & Certifications: Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Engineering, Business, or related field (desirable), Eligible to drive unsupervised in Australia, and General Construction Induction (White or Blue Card).
