Proximity, part of the SPA Australia Group, is seeking a full-time Procurement Advisor with at least 3 years' experience in the federal government sector or a consulting firm to join our Canberra-based team. This is a dynamic, hands-on role—ideal for someone eager to grow and thrive in a supportive, fast-paced environment, with the stability of a long-term, secure position in a growing company. We are all about building our teams, and currently we have opportunities for the successful candidate to join our team of subject matter experts in procurement.

This position is located in Canberra and offers opportunities to work with a team of procurement subject matter experts.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver some of the Commonwealth's biggest and most complex procurements (ICT, Materiel/Defence, general procurement)
  • Leverage your Commonwealth Government procurement and contracting life-cycle expertise, everyday
  • Support or lead streams of work including RFQ development, approach to market, evaluation processes, and contract management, compliance assessment, gap analysis, risk assessment, pricing and value for money assessment for on time delivery
  • Support the collaborative negotiation with suppliers, anticipate problems and encourage strong performance outcomes for your client
  • Build client capability through relationships and knowledge sharing
Qualifications
  • 3 years + experience providing Procurement & Contracts experience within the Federal Government
  • Cert IV in Procurement & Contracts or similar (desirable)
  • Baseline security clearance (NV1 and above highly desirable)
