Warehouse Store Person

Reporting to the Warehouse Coordinator, the successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and accurate flow of materials through our warehouse. This hands-on position involves checking and validating all inventory items upon receipt, reporting any discrepancies, managing storage and preservation, conducting regular cycle counts, and coordinating the timely delivery and issuing of materials and supplies.

• physical receival of goods, unloading trucks and check quantities against incoming documentation for accuracy;
• pick warehouse inventory items from shelves, bins, racks, yards, laydowns or offsite storage locations;
• prepare and pack items to fill work orders or requests for materials and distribute items to departments or individuals;
• ensure that all inventory items are appropriately stored, correctly labelled and binned in the correct storage location;
• loading and unloading of trucks;
• perform physical cyclic stocktaking at all warehouse and laydown locations;
• conduct daily equipment pre-start checks on materials handling equipment;
• operate forklifts to unload trucks and transport stored items from warehouse to required locations; and
• handle, store and segregate Hazmat and Dangerous Goods (DG) during storage and deliveries.

• certificate in Warehouse Management would be an advantage;
• forklift and HR drivers license would be desirable;
• demonstrated experience in warehouse stores;
• understanding storage of dangerous goods & Hazardous Chemicals;
• good interpersonal and communication skills;
• working knowledge of computerised ordering system; and
• knowledge of SAP would be advantageous.
