About Us Hitachi Construction Machinery (Australia) Pty Ltd is a leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment. The Opportunity With strong growth in our mining operations, we have an exciting opportunity for experienced and motivated Site Support Technicians to join the team. This site based role would be scheduled on a FIFO roster of a 2/2 working both day and night shifts. Reporting to the Site Support Supervisor, main responsibilities include: * Providing quality and timely customer outcomes through diagnostic, maintenance, and repairs to a wide range of equipment * Attending to onsite site breakdowns and undertaking fault finding and diagnostic work * Ensuring the HCA Safety Culture is embraced and displayed and driven from within To be successful in this role, you will need: * Relevant diesel or plant mechanic trade qualifications with experience in the maintenance of mining equipment * Good communication and customer service skills and the ability to build long term relationships * Hold High Risk Licences – EWP – WAH – Dogging & Rigging Benefits We are offering: * Competitive pay rate, zone allowance & the potential to earn bi-annual bonuses * Scaled rates – starting rate $72/hr, potential to qualify for more based on yearly performance & training completed * 1hr of Airport standby time & 2hrs of flight travel time paid to/from the Site * Reimbursements paid for transport to and from home to airport, or airport parking * OEM training and opportunities for upskilling with access to the latest technologies * Supportive mentors who value your input in finding new and improved ways to achieving success * Be a part of a leading OEM which genuinely values and ensures everyone is happy and safe at work
