Project Engineer

About This Role
As a Project Engineer, you will be providing support to the Project and Contract Managers for coordinating the development and provision of deliverables for acquisition and recurring services projects.
You will provide the interface between Engineering representatives of the customer and CAE's engineering teams and subcontractors. This would include anything from planning, controlling, and reporting on technical project activities and the status of deliverable artefacts.
The role we are offering you
- Overall accountability for the design integrity of projects
- Ensuring that engineering and QA process and policies are being adhered to
- Providing support to test and specialty engineering
- Own the responsibility of the customers level of technical confidence in the project
Our ideal candidate has:
- Strong experience within the engineering space, ideally mixed with project management
- Having a background in simulation technology and defence is desirable
- Proven ability to think critically and engage as well as influence stakeholders
- Can come with a strong background in Software/Hardware engineering
Location:
- RAAF Base Amberley, QLD OR Homebush, NSW
- Your role will involve some local and domestic travel to sites when required.

Security requirements
As the Australian Department of Defence is a major client, you must be eligible for SECRET (NV1) level Defence security clearance, and preferably already hold a current SECRET (NV1) clearance.
