Key Responsibilities:

  • Support nursing staff with non-clinical patient care, including patient lifting and transportation.
  • Participate in emergency response teams, and handle collection and delivery of specimens, equipment, and supplies.
  • Perform cleaning duties as assigned, including general and terminal cleaning of internal and external areas.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Competency in reading and writing English to perform duties safely.
  • Previous cleaning and portering experience in healthcare preferred.
  • Understanding of workplace health and safety issues.
  • Ability to work on a variable roster, including 24/7 shifts if required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Respect for patient confidentiality and dignity.
  • Flexible and willing to adapt to work requirements and practices.
