We are currently seeking an experienced and proactive HSEQ Superintendent to join our team and drive the implementation and continuous improvement of our health, safety, environmental, and quality systems across corporate and operational sites.

Role Overview :

We are currently seeking an experienced and proactive HSEQ Superintendent to join our team on a full-time basis, based in either Brisbane or Mackay with frequent site travel. In this role, you will provide leadership and support to our corporate and operational sites across our East Coast Operations. This role plays a pivotal part in driving the implementation and continuous improvement of our health, safety, environmental and quality systems through implementation, monitoring and improvement while engaging with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide support to the HSEQ Manager, Corporate and Operational Leaders, and site-based personnel in application of the requirements of the business HSEQ Management system.
  • Providing technical advice to Corporate and Operational teams based on statutory health, safety, environment and quality requirements and industry expectations.
  • Collaborate with leadership teams to ensure HSEQ is integrated into business operations and planning.
  • Mentor and coach corporate and operational leaders to increase HSEQ leadership capabilities and understanding of responsibilities and obligations as leaders within the business.
  • Lead and develop a small team of dedicated and motivated site based HSEQ professionals.
  • Assist to maintain the HSEQ Management System to meeting ISO45001 and ISO 9001 accreditations.
  • Review and support the incident investigation process including facilitation of detailed investigations for Significant Potential Incidents.
  • Lead governance and compliance activities across operational projects by conducting regular audits across all phases on project life.
  • Analyse HSEQ performance data, identify trends, and develop strategic initiatives to drive performance improvements, including monthly reporting.
  • Support project leaders and injured workers through use of established injury management practices.

Qualifications & Experience :

Tertiary qualifications in Workplace Health and Safety or a related field.Minimum 5-7 years of experience in HSEQ roles, with at least 3 years in a corporate or leadership capacity.Lead Auditor qualificationsFormal lead investigator training (ICAM preferred)Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator experience and / or qualificationsRelevant Industry Inductions :

S1, S2, S3 and G1

Standard 11 Generic InductionRIIRIS402 : Carry out the Risk Management ProcessHLTAID011 : Provide First Aid (desirable)HLPPAT005 : Collect Specimens of Drugs of Abuse Testing (desirable)Intermediate computer skills and experience with MS Office suite.
