• Trainee Signal Maintenance Technician (SMT)
• Location : Mildura Job Type : Permanent Full-Time Reports to : Signal Supervisor Salary : $55.2095 per hour + superannuation Working rights : You must have Australian entitlement to work. A check will be conducted as part of the pre-employment screening. Closing Date : Tuesday 29th July 2025

• About the role
• As a Trainee Signal Maintenance Technician, you will help keep Victoria's transport network safe and reliable. You will work under supervision to perform maintenance and installation tasks with precision and care.
• Key responsibilities :
• Assist with maintaining and installing signalling equipment
• Complete scheduled maintenance tasks from the technical plan
• Enter task-completion reports into our maintenance system
• Attend and rectify equipment faults at multiple locations
• Use service schedules to guide maintenance activities
• A little about you
• While we provide extensive training, you'll need :
• Certificate III in Electrotechnology or a Victorian A Grade Licence
• A current and full driver's licence
• Problem-solving motivation
• Commitment to safety and teamwork
• Desire to learn and grow your career at V / Line
• A commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.

Remuneration for this position will be in line with the V / Line Rail Asset Management Enterprise Agreement 2023.
