Overview

Join to apply for the Nursing Assistant - Parramatta Donor Centre role at Australian Red Cross Lifeblood.

Location: Parramatta Donor Centre, New South Wales. Permanent Part-Time opportunity hours per fortnight. Salary starting from $32.31 per hour + penalties (if applicable) + super + salary packaging and more.

Responsibilities
  • Greet and interview potential donors to assess their eligibility and suitability to donate
  • Create a donor experience they'll love—and want to come back
  • Complete routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests
  • Set up machines and collections equipment
  • Insert and remove needles safely to collect whole blood, plasma, and platelets
  • Monitor donors post-donation and assist them with rebooking their next donation
  • Work collaboratively to achieve collection targets
Qualifications
  • No prior experience in blood collection is needed; paid and flexible self-paced training program provides on-the-job practice and online learning
  • Be comfortable with needles and blood/biological materials
  • Occasionally lift between kg
  • Support and foster a fantastic team culture
  • Frequently stand, walk and bend to set up and pack down machines and blood products
  • Be flexible to work varied shifts on a fortnightly rotating roster from Monday to Sunday, including weekends and afternoon shifts
