We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technical Business Analyst to join our client's team working on a cutting-edge mobile app development project.
The ideal candidate must be an Australian citizen, with proven expertise in analysing and translating business requirements into technical solutions, especially in mobile app development. The Senior Technical Business Analyst will collaborate with project managers, developers, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth execution of the project, on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Requirements Gathering and Analysis:
- Engage with business stakeholders to gather and document detailed business requirements for mobile applications.
- Analyze and translate business needs into technical specifications and user stories, ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Prioritize and manage the backlog, working closely with the product owner and project manager.
- Solution Design and Documentation:
- Work with technical teams to design solutions that meet business objectives and user requirements.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including user stories, functional specifications, process flow diagrams, and use cases.
- Ensure the solution architecture aligns with both business needs and technical standards.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Act as the primary liaison between business users, technical teams, and third-party vendors.
- Facilitate communication between cross-functional teams to ensure a shared understanding of requirements and expectations.
- Coordinate with UX/UI designers, developers, and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless integration of business needs into the development lifecycle.
- Mobile App Development Lifecycle:
- Oversee the entire mobile app development process, from conceptualization to post-launch support.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Ensure the final product meets both technical specifications and user experience standards.
- Problem Solving and Issue Resolution:
- Proactively identify potential issues, risks, and roadblocks in the project and propose solutions.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues that arise during development, testing, and deployment.
- Project Management Support:
- Work closely with project managers to ensure project timelines, budgets, and resources are effectively managed.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of project schedules, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met.
- Assist with reporting on project progress and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analysis, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Business Analyst role, with at least 2 years working on mobile app development projects.
- Proven experience with both Android and iOS platforms, understanding their specific requirements, guidelines, and technical constraints.
- Strong experience in Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum.
- Technical Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of mobile app development processes, including design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Ability to work with RESTful APIs, databases, and other mobile app integrations.
- Strong proficiency in creating and managing technical documentation.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
- Exceptional ability to analyze complex business processes and translate them into technical solutions.
- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking abilities.
- Communication and Stakeholder Management:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams, with a demonstrated ability to manage stakeholder expectations.
- Must be an Australian citizen.
- Strong understanding of mobile application user experience (UX) and interface (UI) principles.
- Experience with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
- Knowledge of security protocols and best practices in mobile app development is an advantage.
