Are you an experienced solar professional ready to step off the tools?

Volt Edge is currently seeking a qualified Trainer and Assessor to join our team and deliver high-quality training in Solar Design & Install, Battery Storage, and related Electrical Licensing content.

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong industry knowledge looking to transition into an education role—especially those unable to continue physically demanding install work but still passionate about contributing to the electrical industry.

About the Role

As a Trainer and Assessor at Volt Edge, you'll be responsible for:

  • Delivering training in Solar & Battery, QTP/QBP, and related electrical programs.
  • Using our provided training materials and online Learning Management System (LMS) to support learners with theory and practical components.
  • Leading hands-on training sessions, providing constructive feedback, and supporting students to enhance both their technical and employability skills.

Weekly training topics include:

  • Solar Battery Systems
  • Electrical Contracting (QTP, QBP, REC)
  • LV Testing to AS3017

About You

We're looking for someone who:

  • Can deliver at least two of the following: Solar & Battery, QTP, QBP
  • Holds a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or TAE40122) or MUST be willing to obtain
  • Has extensive experience in Solar Installation & Design and Electrical Contracting
  • Brings confidence and clarity to training delivery, both online and in-person
  • Has strong digital skills and is comfortable navigating LMS platforms
  • Has excellent communication and feedback skills to guide students
  • Is based in or near Northgate, Brisbane (some travel may be required occasionally)
