Bates Smart is an award-winning design studio and design is at the heart of everything we do, both on our projects and within our marketing and communications material. Our Business Development & Marketing Team includes talented people from a variety of professional backgrounds such as Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Architecture, Communications, and Interior Design. We work collaboratively with Melbourne's Business Development & Marketing Team and broader studio.

Bates Smart seeks a talented Marketing Coordinator to join our award winning architectural and interiors practice. This position is suitable for someone with 5+ years of similar experience, preferably within the Architecture + Design space.

The Marketing Coordinator will play a key role in supporting all activities of the Marketing and Business Development team. This role will suit someone keen to grow their experience in an all-rounder role.

Responsibilities
  • Day-to-day marketing communications collateral such as project sheets, credentials, and presentations, in line with brand guidelines
  • Photoshoot strategy, coordination and attendance
  • Website and intranet content creation and upload (Wordpress)
  • Social media content creation, including graphics and text
  • Digital communications and direct email campaigns (Campaign Monitor)
  • Help prepare submission materials for industry awards
  • Marketing administration tasks
  • Project-based tasks as required
  • Maintain image resource library (OpenAsset)
  • Maintain Awards Calendar and Media Log
  • Assist on submissions and team CVs
Essential Skills and Experience
  • Degree in Marketing / Communications / Graphic Design / Architecture + Design
  • Ability to write and proofread copy across a variety of communication channels
  • Experience with digital communications and content creation
  • Ability to use Adobe Creative Suite, primarily InDesign and Photoshop
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills – visual and written
  • Ability to prioritise, plan and juggle competing deadlines
