  • Program tailored for women, female identifying and non-binary persons
  • Shifts commencing from 2.30am - Mon-Fri
  • No heavy vehicle driving experience required

The Role

We're seeking a dedicated individual to join our team at Northgate depot. As a multi-systems operator, you'll operate waste collection vehicles throughout north Brisbane. Responsibilities include the safe and efficient operation of collection vehicles to collect waste from various commercial locations, maintaining vehicle presentation, and completing all paperwork accurately.

  • Must complete a pre-employment medical, including drug & alcohol test and Police Check.

As an HR Driver, your responsibilities include:

  • Operating a collection vehicle
  • Loading and unloading waste
  • Delivering loads to disposal facilities
  • Providing high customer service
  • Maintaining vehicle presentation
  • Manual handling and working at heights

Cleanaway's Driver Academy for Women aims to address gender disparities in the waste industry by providing intensive training, including licencing and ongoing support for 12 months. The paid 5-week program includes:

  • Obtain Heavy Vehicle Licence Open (HR) Manual
  • Dangerous goods licence & EPA certification (if required)
  • Uniforms and PPE
  • Internal driver training

To qualify, you must:

  • Hold a current unrestricted driver's licence for at least 24 months
  • Have at least 8 demerit points remaining
  • No heavy vehicle driving experience required
  • Be passionate about teamwork and customer service
  • Commit to safety, learning, and resilience
