Are you passionate about road safety and developing others? We're looking for a dedicated Driver Trainer to join our team and play a key role in ensuring our drivers are skilled, compliant, and confident on the road.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments of new, existing, and subcontracted drivers to ensure compliance with company and legal standards.
  • Deliver driver inductions, ongoing training, mentoring, and upskilling programs.
  • Perform site risk assessments and compliance visits, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
  • Identify and address training gaps, unsafe behaviours, or performance issues proactively.
  • Collaborate with operations and other departments to coordinate training needs.
  • Maintain accurate and timely driver training records.
  • Assist in the development and review of training materials and procedures.

Key Requirements
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or willingness to obtain), OR 8+ years of heavy vehicle driving experience.
  • Strong understanding of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and NHVR regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail with a strong commitment to safety and compliance.
  • Current and valid heavy vehicle licence (MC preferred).
  • Forklift licence desirable.
  • Experience with A-double combinations is highly regarded.
  • Professional, approachable, and supportive mentoring style.
  • Passionate about fostering a strong safety culture and continuous improvement.
