To support a rapidly expanding business, we are seeking an enthusiastic Project Support Officer with demonstrated experience working in the Project delivery domain. This position is permanent and based in Fyshwick, Canberra. ADT may consider supporting relocation within Australia for the right candidate.

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Project Support Officer to assist our Program Manager with various project related activities, including procurement. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to Projects and/or Programs and associated Project/Program Management and Executive Leadership.
  • Assist in the establishment and maintenance of project delivery artefacts, including schedules, risk registers, plans and reports.
  • Coordinate with project/program procurement activities, including sourcing suppliers, obtaining quotes and managing purchase orders.
  • Assist the Program Manager in planning, executing and finalizing projects according to deadlines and within budget
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders
  • Schedule and coordinate project meetings, prepare agendas and take minutes
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and issues
  • Support the development and implementation of project management methodologies and best practices.

The Person:

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have a combination of the following.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a project-based role
  • Familiarity with Project Management methodologies
  • Experience in managing multiple tasks/projects simultaneously
  • Experience creating and updating project documents including schedules
  • Confident in liaising with stakeholders and/or senior leaders to support project outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability to independently troubleshoot issues and drive solutions
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Technical writing\proposal experience, including the development of supporting material would be highly regarded.
  • Experience and knowledge of procurement practices
  • Experience working in the Defence and/or Government domains
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, Outlook SharePoint, Project. Experience with D365, including Project Operations would be an advantage.
