Job Title: Senior Hardware and Software Test Engineer

About the Role:
As a Senior Hardware and Software Test Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the end-to-end testing lifecycle of advanced Energy Storage Systems and PV inverters. This role is hands-on, covering everything from planning and executing tests to performing detailed reliability and root cause analysis. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams—locally and offshore—ensuring products meet the highest standards of performance and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the definition and execution of test strategies (BVT, UAT, Regression).
- Design, manage, and conduct both manual and automated test procedures.
- Oversee coordination with offshore testing teams for seamless execution.
- Manage test environments, documentation, and requirements tracking.
- Plan and lead hardware/software testing for ESS, including sign-off.
- Conduct reliability and HIL testing, analyze test data, and resolve issues.
- Collaborate with hardware and software engineers to optimize performance.
- Support testing during the development of new ESS and PV inverter products.
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in hardware/software/reliability testing, including cloud or mobile applications.
- Certified in ISTQB, CSTE, or CSQE.
- Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Perl, LabView).
- Experience in embedded systems and hands-on lab testing.
- Familiar with Agile, Waterfall, and V-Model methodologies.
- Excellent technical documentation and communication skills.
- Experience with PV inverters, ESS, BMS, and high-voltage systems.
- Knowledge of relevant safety standards (UL, IEC, ISO, AS/NZ).
- Proficiency in root cause analysis, DFMEA, and UX testing.
- Embedded C/C++ programming and microcontroller experience (STM32, ESP32).
