This is a Software Technical Support Engineer role with Schneider Electric based in Macquarie Park, NSW, AU

Role Seniority: Mid level

About the Role:

  • Join our dynamic Software Support team as a Software Technical Support Engineer for our Pacific Zone ANZ.

Responsibilities
  • Own, investigate, and resolve complex software issues, proposing workarounds for customers.
  • Document activities and findings accurately and promptly in the case management system.
  • Contribute to digital self-help materials to enable faster problem resolution and build internal knowledge sharing.
  • Collaborate with other support centers and departments.
  • Focus on customer experience through empathetic communication and technical resolution.
  • Continuously learn and actively contribute to the team and customers.
About You

Ideal candidates will have 2-4 years of experience in Application Support within a top-tier organization, supporting mainstream software applications, with knowledge of software architecture and SDLC.

Qualifications include a tertiary degree in Engineering or Computer Science, with a good understanding of software and hardware communications and setup.

Key Skills and Experience
  • Experience with AVEVA System Platform and Plant SCADA or GEO SCADA is advantageous.
  • Understanding of Windows OS, networking, and security.
  • Proficiency with Windows troubleshooting tools.
  • Experience integrating hardware and software.
  • Quick thinking, self-motivated, and customer-focused.
