The salary scale has been agreed as part of the NHS Agenda for Change pay award for 2025 / 2026 and will be implemented in August 2025 with arrears backdated to 1st April 2025 where applicable.

Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Estates & Facilities Division for a Reception / Office Administrator at Ysbyty Aneurin Bevan, Ebbw Vale.

The post holder will be responsible for a range of administrative duties throughout the department, reporting to the Facilities Co-Ordinator, Supervisor, and / or the Operational Services Manager, maintaining high standards of general office duties.

This is a fixed-term / secondment position until 30th November 2025. Applicants interested in secondment must obtain permission from their current line manager before applying.

Main duties of the job

To assist in the daily running of the general office as part of the team, handling varied central administrative functions. The post requires tact, persuasive skills, and the ability to communicate complex or sensitive information effectively, including providing advice, instruction, or training to groups on straightforward subjects.

The ideal candidate will be well-organized, a team player, and capable of maintaining high-quality service responsive to customer needs. Welsh language skills are desirable; applications from Welsh and / or English speakers are equally welcome.

Qualifications and Knowledge

Essential criteria :

  • Good general education
  • Knowledge of administrative systems and office procedures from on-the-job training
  • Computer literacy
  • Good keyboard skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
