Base pay range

A$120,000.00/yr

Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of the Company's Corporate and Hotel finance systems, ensuring smooth integration with other platforms across the business.
  • Review and enhance systems and processes with a support team, driving improvements and implementing smarter solutions.
  • Proactively monitor and refine finance tools and workflows to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and reliability of data.
  • Develop insightful performance reports and presentations for both internal and external stakeholders, using dashboards, BI tools, and advanced data analytics to support strategic decisions.
  • Provide troubleshooting and support for finance systems and reporting (note: this is not an IT support role).
  • Collaborate with a support team to design and roll out a robust internal audit tool across the hotel portfolio.
  • Perform variance analysis of actuals vs. forecasts, budgets, and prior year, preparing initial commentary and delivering insights that influence decision-making.
  • Track and monitor key performance metrics across the portfolio to strengthen monthly reporting.
  • Work closely with the Manager of each business unit to identify cost savings and operational efficiencies across the business.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures, ensuring consistency and compliance.
Qualifications
  • Full accounting qualification (e.g., CA, CPA).
  • Solid experience with Finance ERP and reporting systems.
  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI and Microsoft Excel.
  • Demonstrated ability to build or refine and enhance systems, management reporting or dashboards.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge with up to date knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and practice.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently across all levels of the business.
  • Experience in Hospitality is advantageous but not compulsory.
  • A commercial mindset with the ability to interpret data and understand business processes and performance.
  • Ability to confidently work independently and take initiative with driving new projects.
  • Demonstrate a diligent work ethic and adapt to the changing demands of their position.
